Mold - What it Can Do to Your Health

Mold is a type of fungus that feeds off of plants, wood, paper, wasted foods, and animal matter. Though it is ordinarily discovered outside some individuals will have it invade their house. The most common place to search for it, is inside of your basement, laundry room, trash cans, pantry, and refrigerator.

In many cases you can easily recognize the fuzzy green smears that are on your bad food. Still, when it is producing on wet boxes or clothes it is harder to spot. One of the strongest signs that it has invaded your home is the terrible odor that it makes. When you have discovered you should do what it necessary to get rid of it from your house as quickly as possible.

This substance is terrible to have in the home - but few individuals actually understand the health troubles that it might produce. Anybody who suffers from asthma, other respiratory conditions, or has a weakened immune system will have a hard time breathing when they are around it.

If you see it growing anywhere put on a mask before touching it. The moment it is moved the spores inside of it will be discharged. This is how it journeys through the air to various parts of the home. These spores are so little that when our mouth is close to it or exposed we may breathe it in without ever knowing.

Certain people have more serious reactions because of a mold allergy. This will stimulate a runny nose, wheezing, itchy eyes, and a rash. Anybody who has this should do what they can to stay away from it and to keep it from attacking their house.

It is important for people to understand just how Bad Mold is and what it can do to your health. Some people have what is called a Mold Allergy and will have severe reactions when exposed to it.
